Secretary of Labor nominee
Alexander Acosta's confirmation hearing is
set for March 15, 2017, our sister publication
401kWire has
learned.
The Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions committee (HELP) will hold the hearings.
Acosta's confirmation could provide some clarity on the fate of the fiduciary reg, which still hangs
in limbo.
Andy Puzder, President Trump's initial nominee,
withdrew his nomination less than 24 hours before he was scheduled to appear before the Senate.
Last week, Acosta met with HELP chairman Senator Lamar Alexander, who said he planned to schedule the hearing as soon as the committee received Acosta's paperwork.
