Nearly three years after the collapse of the Internet stock bubble one dotcom fund is dropping the "WWW" from its name.
WWW Advisors, advisor to the WWW Internet Fund, is changing its name to
IPC Financial Group, according to a filing with the SEC.
The IPC Financial name is derived from Interactive Planning Corp., the name of the financial advisory firm run by founder
Lawrence S. York.
The firm is not changing the name of the fund. That fund opened in August of 1996 and was one of the first Internet focused mutual funds. The fund now has $17 million in assets. At its peak, it claimed more than $150 million.
IPC Advisors now has two funds in addition to the WWW Internet Fund, the Growth Flex fund and the Market Opportunities Fund.
