Rich Babineau recently joined Mediant, a provider of investor communications technology and technology-enabled solutions, as director of fund solutions.

In his new role, Babineau will oversee the delivery of Mediant solutions to the fund industry to help with proxy voting and shareholder communications.

Prior to working at Mediant, Babineau most recently worked at Georgeson as a business development executive for a little more than a year and a half. A spokeswoman from Georgeson did not immediately return a call for comment.

Sherry Moreland, president and COO of Mediant, stated that the firm is "delighted to have Rich join the Mediant team" due to "Rich's wealth of experience in the fund industry as well as his entrepreneurial drive."

Babineau also worked as a vice president of product management, mutual fund and retirement plan at Broadridge, a real estate agent for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, a vice president of Operations at D.F. King, a communications manager at John Hancock, and as an assistant vice president of legal operations at Putnam Investments.
