Craig Pfeiffer, president and CEO of MMI, did not immediately return a call for comment.
"We at the Darden School are excited to partner with the Money Management Institute as the academic partner for Executive IQ, an innovative leadership development offering for managers across the asset management, wealth management, and fintech sectors,"
Scott Beardsley, dean of the
UVA Darden School of Business, said in a video.
The new program combines a university-backed curriculum with real-world case studies from the industry's consultancies and Fortune 500 companies.
The certification is online, in-person and hybrid and takes 10 hours each month, for 18 months. After completion, students are granted a University of Virginia Darden School of Business certificate.
"Executive IQ participants will pursue a rigorous, 18-month learning journey, that will include in-person leadership laboratories, live and self paced virtual learning events and highly curated on the job learning experiences to develop and prepare these mid-level leaders for the most senior roles in the U.S. financial services industry," Beardsley continued.
"Darden is extremely well placed to be the academic partner in this exciting program," Beardsley notes. "Developing responsive and inclusive leaders is central to our values. We've been pioneering and teaching and original research on ethical leadership, stakeholder management, diversity equity and inclusion, and innovation and entrepreneurship."
