Marie Aro has been named senior vice president of Aquila Rocky Mountain Equity Fund, a regional stock fund that invests mainly in the stocks of companies based in the Rocky Mountain region.

Aro was most recently a partner and vice president of product management and third party marketing at Invesco Funds Group in Denver.

She has also worked at Aquila Management as vice president of sales and shareholder servicing where she founded the Aquila Rocky Mountain Equity Fund.

Aro will be based in Denver and is responsible for sales and marketing activities - including on site visits to brokers and investment advisors who offer the fund in the eight states of the Rocky Mountain region, as well as other areas of the country.
