The team at a $772-billion-AUM multinational's U.S. ETF business are celebrating a big milestone, less than three years after entering the space.

Yesterday, Johan Grahn, head ETF market strategist at Alliance Investment Management LLC, confirmed that AllianzIM's ETF business has surpassed $1 billion in AUM. AllianzIM specializes in buffered ETFs and now offers 16 of them in total, after launching the business back in June 2020.

"During these times of market uncertainty, we've really seen our products resonate with investment professionals and investors looking to stay invested in the markets while trying to limit their potential losses," Grahn states. "We look forward to further expanding our suite of ETFs this year to allow more investors access to these risk mitigation strategies."
