The team at a white label ETF firm is bringing on a new ops leader in the Big Apple.

New York City-based Ryan Bader is joining Tidal Financial Group (sister company to an ETF advisor and subadvisor) as head of operations and risk, MFWire has learned. Bader's most immediate past position was director, head of operations and equity trader at New York-based Huatai Securities.

Gavin Filmore, chief operating officer at Tidal, did not immediately return a phone call for comment. Eric Falkeis, co-founder and chief growth officer at Tidal, did not immediately return an email for comment. Bryan Lin, CEO and managing director at Huatai, did not immediately return a phone call for comment.

"So excited to have you join the team Ryan," Falkeis writes in a LinkedIn post.

Before joining Huatai in 2020, Bader previously worked at another ETF-in-a-box shop, ETF Managers Group (ETFMG). Earlier, he did ETF and trading work with Société Générale, Deutsche Bank, and Grimes Companies. He is an alumnus of the University of North Florida.
