A SoCal Quant Makes His 2nd ETF Splash

Reported by Neil Anderson, Managing Editor

Three months later, a quantitative asset management entrepreneur in the Southland is teaming up with a familiar ally to launch another fund.

Yesterday, Andrew Skatoff, founder and CEO of Bancreek Capital Advisors, LLC, and Garrett Stevens, CEO of Exchange Traded Concepts, LLC (ETC [profile]), unveiled the launch of the Bancreek International Large Cap ETF (BCIL). This is Bancreek's 2nd ETF, and the Bancreek and ETC folks already work together to power Bancreek's 1st ETF, the Bancreek U.S. Large Cap ETF (BCUS).

BCIL and BCUS are both series of the Exchange Listed Funds Trust and are listed on the NYSE Arca, Inc. BCIL's inception date was yesterday, while BCUS' inception date was December 20, 2023.

BCUS and BCIL are both actively managed equity funds. BCIL comes with an expense ratio of 80 basis points, which bakes in a 10bps fee waiver (promised through March 11, 2025). BCUS' expense ratio is 70bps, which bakes in the same waiver (promised through December 18, 2024). As of yesterday, BCUS had grown to $29.138 million in AUM.

Oklahoma City- and New York City-based ETC serves as investment advisor to both BCUS and BCIL, and Santa Monica, California-based Bancreek serves as subadvisor. The two new ETFs' PM team includes Skatoff himself, plus four ETC portfolio managers: Todd Alberico, Brian Cooper, Andrew Serowik, and Gabriel Tan.

"With BCIL, we have deployed our proprietary framework and quantitative tools to make investing in structurally advantaged businesses outside the U.S. more accessible for investors," Skatoff states.

Stevens shares his excitement about the launch of BCIL.

"We've been so impressed with the team at Bancreek, their strategy and their first ETF, BCUS," Stevens states. "Launching an international version of that fund makes tremendous sense and will give investors the opportunity to get exposure from companies around the world that meet the rigorous process employed by Bancreek."

The Bancreek ETFs' other service providers include: Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. (BBH) as custodian, dividend disbursing agent, and transfer agent; Chapman and Cutler LLP as counsel; Cohen & Company, Ltd. as independent accounting firm; ACA Group's Foreside Fund Services, LLC as distributor and principal underwriter; and Ultimus Fund Solutions, LLC as administrator.
