Teaming Up, a Georgia Boutique Adds ETF #2

Reported by Neil Anderson, Managing Editor

The team at an eight-year-old, Atlanta area RIA is launching their second ETF, with a familiar pair of allies.

David Alexis Nicholas
BluePath Capital Management, LLC (dba Nicholas Wealth Management)
President, Principal Owner
Yesterday, the Nicholas Global Equity and Income ETF (GIAX) debuted on the NYSE Arca, Inc.. The fund is sponsored by subadvisors BluePath Capital Management, LLC (dba Nicholas Wealth Management) and Zega Financial, LLC, while Tidal Investments LLC [profile] serves as investment advisor.

GIAX's inception date was yesterday, and the new, actively managed fund is a series of Tidal Trust II. It comes with an expense ratio of 95 basis points.

The new ETF's PM team includes: Christopher Mullen, a portfolio manager at Tidal; David Nicholas, president of his eponymous RIA in Marietta, Georgia; Jay Pestrichelli, co-founder and CEO of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida-based Zega; and Michael Venuto, chief investment officer of Tidal. GIAX is designed to invest in passive ETFs while also selling daily index credit call spreads on equities.

The launch of GIAX comes less than two years after the debut of Nicholas Wealth's first ETF, the Nicholas Fixed Income Alternative ETF (FIAX). That fund comes with the same expense ratio, with Tidal, Zega, and Nicholas Wealth all serving in the same roles. As of yesterday, FIAX had $62.88 million in AUM.

GIAX's other service providers include: Cohen & Company, Ltd. as independent accounting firm; ACA's Foreside Fund Services, LLC as distributor; Sullivan & Worcester LLP as counsel; Tidal ETF Services LLC as administrator; U.S. Bancorp Fund Services, LLC (dba U.S. Bank Global Fund Services) as fund accountant, sub-administrator, and transfer agent; and U.S. Bank National Association as custodian.
