Emily Dupre, national sales manager at Sun Life's
MFS [
profile],
unveils the
launch of the
MFS Blended Research Core Equity ETF (BRCE on the
NYSE) and the
MFS Blended Research International Equity ETF (BRIE). Boston-based Massachusetts Financial Services Company serves as investment advisor and administrator to both new ETFs.
BRIE and BRCE's commencment date is today. BRCE comes with an expense ratio of 24 basis points and now has $20.2 million in AUM. BRIE's expense ratio is 34bps, and it now has $14.95 million in AUM.
The same four-person PM team from MFS' quantitative solutions group powers both BRIE and BRCE. The four portfolio managers are:
Jim Fallon;
Matt Krummell;
Jonathan Sage; and
Jed Stocks.
Stocks serves as lead PM for BRIE, while Krummell does so for BRCE.
The MFS team notes that they first entered the quant space 24 years ago and that the Blended Research strategies (including several mutual funds) from MFS now have about $21 billion in combined AUM.
"We believe that our investment edge — a unique and transparent blending of independent research perspectives — differentiates these two ETFs for benchmark-sensitive investors," Dupre states.
BRCE and BRIE are each actively managed series of
MFS Active Exchange Traded Funds Trust. The two ETFs' other service providers include:
Ernst & Young LLP as independent accounting firm;
MFS Fund Distributors, Inc. (MFD) as distributor;
