After 22 Years, an MMI C-Suiter Switches to Chocolate

Reported by Selma Khenissi, Reporter

One of the leaders of a wealth and asset management industry trade group is riding off into a sunset ... of chocolate!

Arlen Oransky, who is based in the New York City area, is retiring from the Money Management Institute (MMI), where he last held a chief membership officer role, MFWire has learned. Meanwhile, he now serves as president of Adri Chocolates.

Craig Pfeiffer, president and CEO of MMI, did not immediately return phone calls and an email for comment.

Oransky's retirement from MMI has officially been in the works for about a year.

"As I retire from MMI after 23 years, I want to thank all my industry colleagues for the heartwarming send-offs," Oransky writes in a LinkedIn post:
It has been an honor and pleasure to work alongside you to shape the evolution of advisory solutions. I will always cherish the strides we have made collectively and the support and collaboration all of which made this journey so meaningful. I leave MMI with deep gratitude and warm memories and look forward to my next chapter. There is a phrase a long-time colleague recently shared with me that says 'as you step into retirement, life begins at the end of your comfort zone' ... I welcome it and what is now an important philanthropic initiative with my wife Isabel. We have launched Adri Chocolates where we will divert a portion of the proceeds through a foundation to underprivileged families in Jamaica and Venezuela.

Oransky first joined MMI in 2003. Before then, he had previous stints with Phoenix Investment Partners, The Gresham Company, LLC, TIAA-CREF, and Weiss Peck & Greer. He is an alumnus of Loyola University Maryland and of Stony Brook University.
