The folks at a seven-year-old
American Century [
profile] unit are rolling out another active exchange-traded fund.
Today,
Phil McInnis, chief investment strategist at American Century's
Avantis Investors,
unveils the
launch of the
Avantis Total Equity Markets ETF (AVTM on the
NYSE Arca). Kansas City, Missouri-based American Century Investment Management, Inc. serves as investment advisor to the new fund.
AVTM's inception date was last Thursday (January 29). The new ETF comes with an expense ratio of 22 basis points (which bakes in a permanent, 1bps fee waiver).
Five Avantis portfolio managers serve as the PM team for AVTM. They are:
Matthew Dubin, PM;
Mitchell Firestein, senior PM;
Daniel Ong, senior PM;
Ted Randall, senior PM; and
Eduardo Repetto, chief investment officer.
McInnis puts the launch of AVTM in the context of the Avantis team's overall philosophy.
"Everything we do at Avantis is with our clients in mind," McInnes states. "This mentality has contributed to the strong growth and adoption we've experienced over the last several years."
AVTM is an actively managed series of
American Century ETF Trust. The new fund's other service providers include:
American Century Services, LLC (ACS) as admininstrator;
Deloitte & Touche LLP as independent accounting firm;
ACA's Foreside Fund Services, LLC as distributor; and
State Street Bank and Trust Company as dividend-paying agent, securities lending agent, sub-administrator, and transfer agent.
