The team at an $8.2-billion-AUM*, 26-year-old, institutional growth equity asset manager in the Big Apple are entering the exchange-traded fund business with one launch and prepping at least two more.
Today,
Sonu Chawla, partner and portfolio manager in the growth equity group at
TimesSquare Capital Management LLC,
unveils the debut of the
TimesSquare Quality Mid Cap Growth ETF (TSCM on the
Nasdaq). The TimesSquare folks also filed to launch two more ETFs, the
TimeSquare Quality International Small Cap Growth ETF (TSCI) and the
TimesSquare Quality Small-Mid Cap Growth ETF (TSCQ). New York City-based TimesSquare will serve as investment advisor to all three ETFs, while Milwaukee-based
Tidal Investments LLC will be the ETFs' subadvisor and provider of principal trust administrator services.
TSCQ and TSCI have not yet officially debuted, while TSCM's inception date was December 29, 2025. Each of the ETFs comes with expense ratios of 55 basis points. TSCM now has about $28.24 million in AUM**
TSCM, TSCI, and TSCQ will have different but overlapping PM teams. All three ETFs will be served by these three PMs:
Joshua Bischoff, partner and head of U.S. and international trading at TimesSquare;
Qiao Duan, PM at Tidal; and
Andy Hicks, senior vice president of trading at Tidal.
TSCM's PM team also includes:
Edward Salib, partner and PM on TimesSquare's U.S. equity team;
and Chawla herself.
TSCQ's PM team also includes:
David Ferreiro, partner and PM on TimesSquare's growth equity team;
Greg Vasse, partner and PM on TimesSquare's U.S. equity team;
Chawla; and
Salib.
TSCI's PM team also includes:
David Hirsh, partner and PM on TimesSquare's international small cap team; and
Magnus Larsson, PM on TimesSquare's international small cap team.
Chawla describes TimesSquare's first ETF, TSCM, as following the firm's "long-established mid cap growth discipline that focuses on quality growth companies."
"Quality growth investing has been the north star of the investment team since the firm's inception," Chawla states. "We believe our rigorous, research-intensive approach can drive meaningful alpha over a full market cycle, while seeking to preserve capital during market downturns."
The new and planned TimesSquare ETFs are an actively managed series of
2023 Series Trust. The ETFs' other service providers include:
The Bank of New York Mellon (BNY Mellon) as administrator, custodian, dividend disbursing agent, and transfer agent;
Cohen & Company, Ltd. as independent accounting firm;
ACA's Foreside Fund Services, LLC as distributor; and
Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP as counsel.
