Daniel Connealy has been hired as Waddell Reed's chief financial officer, the firm announced Wednesday.

Connealy leaves a top finance spot at Stilwell Financial.

John Sundeen, Waddell's current CFO, will become executive vice president and chief administrative officer of the firm's investment management division.
