Transamerica's mutual fund group renamed three of its IDEX funds previously managed by
Janus and switched subadvisers, the firm disclosed in a SEC
filing on Monday.
The fund firm merged its TA IDEX Janus Growth and Income with TA IDEX Janus Balanced and renamed the two TA IDEX Transamerica Balanced. The fund's new subadvisor is
Transamerica Investment Management.
A third Janus-branded fund, TA IDEX Janus Global, was merged with TA IDEX Templeton Great Companies Global, and renamed IDEX Templeton Great Companies Global.
Great Companies manages the domestic portion of the portfolio, while
Templeton Investment Counsel manages the international portion.
A Transamerica spokesperson did not immediately return a call seeking comment for the changes.
Janus still subadvises for Transamerica's TA IDEX Janus Growth, which had $1.3 billion in assets at the end of March.
Transamerica changed the name of its funds from IDEX Mutual Funds to Transamerica IDEX Mutual Funds in March.
Net out flows in long-term assets for
Janus totaled $5.9 billion in May, up from $0.7 billion in out flows in April and $2.6 billion in March, the firm reported in a
statement on Tuesday. Officials said that the tide of institutional renewals had reached its peak and that they did not anticipate any further attrition.
