Fauzia Rashid joined Fred Alger Management as a vice president and analyst, the firm announced on Tuesday. Rashid joined the firm one week ago.

Rashid, who leaves Bank of New York Asset Management, will research energy, utilities, chemical and cylical companies.

She reports to Dan Chung, president and chief investment officer.

Prior to BNY, Rashid worked at Bear, Stearns, Lehman Brothers and Citigroup as an equity analyst.
