As part of an effort to increase its alternative investment product distribution, Rydex Capital Partners has hired Ed Egilinsky to serve as the director of intermediary distribution. Egilinsky started at the firm on June 28. Egilinsky will work with Rydex Investments'18 regional vice presidents to distribute the firm's alternative investment product. The 18 wholesalers cover the registered investment advisor and broker dealer channels for Rydex's other fund products.

Besides working on product distribution, Egilinsky will work on product development for Rydex Capital Partners.

Egilinsky left a position as head of sales and marketing at Kenmar, an alternative investment management firm.

Rydex Capital Partners is the hedge fund arm of Rydex Investments.
