Four Bank of America fund boards have hired a chief compliance officer. Mary Joan Hoene, a former partner at New York-based Carter, Ledyard & Milburn.

Hoene will report directly to the boards of Nations Funds, Columbia Funds, Galaxy Funds and Liberty All-Star Funds. She will also work with Charles Bowman, principal compliance executive of Bank of America as well as Columbia Management executives.
