CDC IXIS Asset Management North America is combining legal, compliance, and fund administration functions within its Asset Management Services group with its sales and distribution unit within the company's Advisors Group.
The company's transfer agency, investor services and publishing unit will remain within Asset Management Services.
By merging the business, we're able to "streamline our services that we offer to our affiliates," said Peter Joyce, a spokesman for CDC IXIS. CDC IXIS has 15 affiliate companies under its Advisor Group.
The firm also announced six promotions:
John Pelletier, formerly general counsel was appointed executive vice president, chief operating officer. Pelletier will oversee the newly integrated lines of business from the Asset Management Services.
Frank LoPiccolo was appointed president and chief executive officer of Asset Management Services. LoPiccolo will oversee the remaining transfer agency and investor services business with the Asset Management Services group.
Coleen Downs Dinneen was named senior vice president, general counsel. Dinneeen was previously deputy general counsel.
Beatriz Pina Smith was named senior vice president, chief financial officer. Smith was previously vice president and controller of the Advisors Group.
Anthony Loureiro was promoted from vice president of compliance to senior vice president of compliance. Loureiro is also responsible for serving as the chief compliance officer of broker-dealer-related business.
