Fred Alger Management has added its third institutional sales executive in six months. Peter Latartara has joined the New York-based money manager as a vice president of institutional sales.

Latartara reports to Duke Meythaler, head of institutional sales at Alger.

The hiring is part of Alger's push to expand its corporate, public, Taft-Hartley, foundation and endowments business.

Latartara formerly an institutional sales executive at Gabelli Asset Management. Bruce Alpert of Gabelli Asset Management did not immediately return a call seeking comment on a replacement for Latartara.
