The World Gold Council's streetTRACKS Gold Trust gold-based exchange-traded fund began trading on the New York Stock Exchange on Thursday, as expected last week.
The fund closed at $44.38 at the end of the day, with trading at more than six million shares. The fund opened with 2.3 million offered shares.
