Matthew S. Stadler will join New York-based Cohen & Steers as its new chief financial officer on May 2. He will also become an executive vice president of the company.

Stadler is currently the chief financial officer of Neuberger Berman and a managing director at Lehman Brothers.

Peter Sundman, president of Neuberger Berman, was out of the office and unavailable for comment.

Stadler replaces current Cohen & Steers chief financial officer Victor M. Gomez, who will continue working at the company as the chief accounting officer and senior vice president.
