Managed accounts specialist
Placemark Investments has brought
Richard Dion onboard to head its sales and marketing efforts. The Boston-based firm provides a platform for advisors. Dion was most recently CEO of
Oberon Financial Technology.
His position is newly created, said a spokesperson.
"Richard has a proven record of success in helping to build businesses that serve the broker-dealer and financial planning marketplaces. His experience will be a tremendous asset for Placemark as we continue to grow," said
Lee Chertavian, chief executive officer at Placemark Investments in a statement.
Dion is a 15-year veteran of
Fidelity Investments. He was part of the team that built and managed the interactive services of the firm's wholesale mutual fund distribution business. He also spent seven years at Fidelity's Institutional Brokerage Group.
